The bootloader is usually split into stages. ![]() The bootloader usually lives on the system board in non-volatile memory and is often specific to a device. ![]() The bootloader is a low-level code contains the instructions that tell a device how to start up and find the system kernel. The bootloader is code that is executed before any Operating System starts to run.
